    Excellent historical read .

    This book is number 4 in the series of 6 books about the family who own Rockford Castle in Devon. An interesting book set in the mid eighteen hundreds. Excellent descriptions of life in that time and the ups and downs of the family and its downstairs staff. Thoroughly enjoyable read to lose oneself in another time.

    Very compelling

    I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book as is is the fourth of the Rockwood chronicles which is compelling to the series of Dilly Court's books and I am looking forwrd to reading her fifth book of the series The Snow bride due to be released on October.
