On my Flavel model MLB5SDW the Hot Plates were connected using socketed spade connectors. I had to cut the ends of the cooker's wires off their connectors and trim them back to fit them into the replacement hob plate's screw clamps. I would have liked some narrow male spade connectors to fit to the ends of the cooker's wires to ensure a good connection into hob plates screw clamps, instead of the trimmed back wires. The replacement hob plates seem to be high quality, and working well.
