    The original films are the best

    I love this film, even though it was made many years ago. Different story line to usual war films, looking at the soldier approaching Dunkirk and the owners of the little boats. Great actors, including Sir John Mills, Sir Richard Attenborough and Bernard Lee.

    A 5 Star Black and white film.

    An excellent film with some very well known actors and I would imagine quite accurate in the script and what actually happened during this period of time. A film that could be watched over and over again without getting too bored with it! Providing a good break between viewing so that anyone doesn't too overwhelmed with it!

    1958 film dunkirk

    this is a real gritty realistic war film with great acting from its main stars john mills and Richard Attenborough. made only 18years after the real evacuation of Dunkirk it depicts the violence of war. compared to the 2017 film Dunkirk it is realistic as it pulls no punches as to the horror the men went through. fully recommended.

    The Original Dunkirk

    With the making of the new film about Dunkirk, although I haven't seen it yet, apart from trailers, will have a long way to go to beat the original. With the first film the uniforms and equipment look the real thing and the actors lived their parts because they knew first hand what had happened.

    History

    I watched the movie dunkirk and enjoyed it very much its full of action the solders fear for their lives the bravery the men who took out their boats all sizes to bring back the army stranded on the beaches for those left behind it was a long hard war locked behind fences but we won through in the end i very much enjoy watching John Mills he shows his abillity to show the audiance the the fear the pain of loss when his men are hurt or killed great film i ask all to watch and say how much they enjoyed the movie
