A good introduction to a complex character.
This short biography is easy to read; it gives a summary of the conditions in China at the time of Mao's birth and his formative years; the factors that influenced the development of his ideas and the impact his coming to power in China had on that country and its people. As an introduction to Mao it is well worth a read but it suffers from numerous spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and typographical mistakes which do tend to distract the reader.
