    One of a kind My God, what a movie. If it is not the best western ever made.

    If you thought the cattle drive was all fun and games, think again. Characters ,scenery , story nothing is off in this movie. Its one of the greatest westerns ever made The music matches the story, epic. It sets s a very high standard and I doubt it will ever be bettered. There are moments in Lonesome Dove that will make you laugh out loud in immense joyful pleasure. Then there are other moments that are downright chilling and so haunting that you cannot shake them as you are pulled further and further into the movie. And then there are those moments that are so profoundly heartfelt.

    Lonesome Dove

    One of the best books made into a movie you will ever see. Wonderful characters brought to life. The movie is almost word for word the same as the book. I have watched this movie at least once a year since it came out. I gave my copy to my 25 year old daughter because she loved it so much. I started of with VHS and I just bought my 2 copy of the DVD.I can't wait to watch it again.

    dvd is coming up

    I saw some episodes on TV with closed captions. this inspired me to get the DVD with CC. I could not find such a DVD on amazon. So I am glad I found it on eBay. I am sure I will enjoy it when I sit down to see it again.

    Lonesome Dove was great TV series.

    As a TV western series it is one of the best. However the DVD did not have captions which is a muct for me because my hearing is not very good.
