Reviews
4 stars out of 5 - "It has everything you've come to expect from a Daft Punk album - innovation, cracking tunes, a palpable sense of its own absurdity - but this time the whole shebang's cranked up to 11.", 4 out of 5 - "The French duo pay cheeky tribute to the glory of repetition, android techno, distorted Roland 303s, robotic funk and vocodered singers intoning titles ad absurdum here.", 4 stars out of 5 - "HUMAN AFTER ALL strips out the most flamboyant frills to create a more incisive sound. Some of it is tough and forgiving....And some is pure pop plastique, all gloss and sheen..."

Fantastic seller! My item took longer than normal to arrive but that's due to them sending me the wrong dvd. Not to worry though, I contacted them and they arranged for the correct dvd to be sent out. My item has now arrived and the dvd was in excellent condition (brand new as described) and it was very well packaged. I would also like to say that the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this seller, thank you so much! The issue with the wrong dvd was quickly rectified .

Book arrived safely packaged in perfect order. Item as described, new. Thank you Rarewaves Outlet. Fascinating book, great addition to my collection. Great price. Would recommended this seller. No communication needed with seller, so don't know what to rate with regards to communication (please dont take lack of feedback on this matter as a negative). Thanks again.

This vinyl is really reasonably priced and I love that it is one of the more unusual colours. It arrived well packaged, undamaged and looks as described. It arrived late, due to Royal Mail's Festive rush, but was dispatched by the seller really quickly. When I contacted them to ask where it was, they replied really quickly with a helpful solution. Such good customer service, so strongly recommend. Really happy with my purchase.

  • Daft Punk are Human After All

Expectations are a funny thing. It was expectation that made me buy this album as soon as it was in stores, and it was the same expectation that led me to feel -- at first -- a little disappointed. Disappointment in music is nothing new, especially if you pay too much attention to critics. If an album's too much like the one before it, they're in a rut. Too different and they've lost their way. Daft Punk managed to turn a lot of critics on their heads with "Discovery", most that gave it middle of the road reviews have since changed their tune, thankfully addmitting that Homework Part 2 would have been too simple. But still many were and still are uncomfortable, mislabelling the fleshing out of their sound as going mainstream. I'm sure I would have tired of One More Time if I actually ...

  • A Let Down

Daft Punk set a very high bench mark with second album, Discovery, and their third album, Human After All is a real let down after it. Trying to return to the less poppy times of the first album Homework, Daft Punk sadly miss the target on combining funk, electro and house by making...noise! There's a couple of tracks that are accessible, like first single Robot Rock, but on a listen to the orignal they sampled, all they did was add a vocal. A number of tracks work well in clubs, notably Brainwasher, but ultimately the tracks are bland with very little emotion - somewhat ironic considering the name of the title. Go back to being robots boys!

  • Buy it play it work it love it........

Ok, Ok, ok! Its Daft punk, I'm biased and love all they do. But that is not to say they are not always bang on. This album is not a departure more of a revisit to earlier rawer simple sounds of Homework. Discovery was an Electronic opera journey enveloping their love for obscure funk samples in soft squeakyness. Also using their vocal pals to perhaps reach out to the more commercial side of house (a little bit). This one took me a bit, but like an aural narcotic sucked me in and now there is always a track i'm listening to or humming. How many times has technologic been used on tv film, Ads.. even the OC.. (What!) and then Kanyes remash. Again these guys are legends, there is a reason they take so long, because they do it right. Buy it play it work it love it........
