So easy to install and I didn't even need to replace the orignal plate! I'd totally recommend this if you have the original "flying saucer" shape one. It comes with two fixing plates, only the larger of which adapts to the old existing SP-620 ceiling fixing, the other being redundant for this purpose. The are no instructions enclosed about this, but after a while the penny drops, and it is a simple job to fit it up. The Smoke alarm itself seems to have more features than the old Fireangel, so probably superior.
