Another great DCI Daley book
Another great DCI Daley book. When the Great Britain docks in Kinloch Jim Daley is called upon to visit the ship to discuss security in the town. Government security services are in charge of the passengers’ onboard security but need to ensure that the important visitors are well looked after in Kinloch. DI Daley faces health problems which are exacerbated by the return of his estranged wife Liz who as always raises his stress levels and Brian Scott is temporarily promoted to fill the void. Brian is a good solid policeman but diplomacy is really not his strong point! There are a series of suspicious events, including the disappearance of a local ornithologist, which culminate in a life and death standoff.
