    It works if you work it.

    This is the basic text of the narcotics anonymous program. This program works if you work it. But just reading the book will have little effect; it is recommended that you also attend meetings, get a sponsor, have a conscious contact with a higher power, work the steps, and work with other recovering addicts. Many many people are recovering with the help of this program.
