The foam itself is soft and applicable for an unintended purpose I needed it to do, which is to act as a shock absorber for a 2.5-inch hard disk drive. It seems to be doing great for that particular unintended purpose, so I suppose it's good. The double-sided adhesive holds onto plastic very well, too. Great for laptops that require replacement foam pads.
