Chock-a-Block full of interesting B&W many previously unpublished photos of a 'Family Railway' which should never have been allowed to close. Its 132 pages are full of interesting comments on both the photos and the era up to closure in 1959 of the M&GN Joint Railway. A useful pair of maps on the inside covers gives a good understanding of the M&GN layout and its Express Train connection from Yarmouth Beach to Leicester and Birmingham.

This is an excellent book with a great collection of previously unseen photos. A knowledgable commentary completes this new addition to the Midland and Great Northern archive.
