Fantastically Deep,Dark and Loud !!!!
One of the most prolific sounding Seattle Grunge era bands,if you like it hard n heavy. Some of the songs on this release are mainstream melody's but 3 of the more deep and unknown songs are obscure. I love the makeup of this band and all of its musician's talents. I hope that Matt will be available for a future world tour and to record some new music. He now has been the drummer for Pearl Jam after Soundgarden was on hiatus and maybe weren't ever going to play as a band again. Superunknown and Badmotorfinger were the bands best release's to date, having at least 5 songs off of each that received radio airplay. I feel this was a "good",very GOOD....used cd i bought off Ebay---in fact we bought 2 cds....one for me one,and one for my girlfriend to listen to in her car on her way to work in the morning---ok! now....the main reason we bought S-S is cause of the intense vocal talent of Chris Cornell......the main songs we LOVE are-----BLACK HOLE SUN,SPOONMAN,AND....FELL ON BLACK DAYS. The rest of the cd is also good songs---w/plenty of great guitar work and the whole band really was at.....THE TOP OF THEIR GAME.....at that point. When i read in Rock magazines from the OLD days---that people like AXL ROSE said they were BLOWN AWAY by the Vocals put out by CC.....i just had to investigate! I AM GLAD I DID!
