Heavier than my A5000 which I use for holiday travel but much smaller than my larger dslr's the A6000 is an ideal choice when I'm out on a shoot but where carrying a large camera is inconvenient. It's performance is incredible with auto focus and frame rate being very fast so an ideal tool for action shots. Pity it hasn't got built in image stabilisation with the body as it needs to be used with an oss lens for this though I have had very good results using an adaptor and a 200-400mm tamron from my a mount collection. Nice little camera I'm very pleased with it.

I was torn between buying the a6000 and a6300. Ultimately, I decided on the a6000 because it's a bit smaller and because the 1080p video recording is superior to the a6300. The only way that 1080p looks as good on the a6300 is if you record in 4K and then downconvert to 1080p. Since 4K files are about 2GB per minute and 4K still hasn't caught on, I bought the a6000. Even though the a6000 was first released in 2014, it's still an extraordinary camera with plenty of features, great low light images, and superb video.

The best value for money camera I've ever bought. It has it's limitations - sure - but find the sweet spot with a good lens and this little Sony is a bargain.

This camera was responsible for me switching a 30 year allegiance to Canon over to Sony. I was astonished at the image quality relative to my then go-to DSLR, a Canon 7d. This camera has everything, great auto-focus, super dynamic range and a solid eco-system of Sony, third party and, via adapters, vintage lenses too. I was completely sold on mirrorless as the way forward. The a6000’s small form factor combined with low cost prime lenses make for the ultimate travel camera. Highly recommended!

Can’t believe just how good this camera is. I’ve hardly used my main dslr canon camera since I bought the A6000. Night shots are really good and the presets are good as well as the fully adjustable manual settings

The Sony Alpha a6000 (ILCE6000) I received has Sony XAVC S video recording, as well as AVCHD. But there is no input for an external microphone, which would have been nice, especially in windy conditions outdoors.

Was a loyal Nikon photographer for 50 years but now with a disability, I needed a smaller lightweight compact. The Sony a6000 is just superb and helps me continue to produce images
