This is the 2nd unit I have purchased and there is something odd. The firmware identifies this as a Genesys Logic USB2.1 Hub, not USB3. However it is able to operate at 5Gbps so that is OK for my needs. The previous unit sometimes identified as an USB3 hub, and sometimes as USB2. This when connected to an USB 3 upstream socket. Perhaps the firmware is trying to identify the upstream protocol and sometimes getting it wrong? But it seems to work.
