I would have called it lightly used and not "open box.' While the body of the sprayer looks new, perhaps it sat in a second bathroom or something. The threads on the pipe coupling are filled with pipe dope, and a gorilla used channel locks, pliers or something on the chrome and totally mangled the coupling. Fortunately it will replace another similar unit when that one dies, so we can use the part from the old on. Otherwise I would send this back because of the damage.
