For any self respecting Jam fan there is nothing to dislike about this album. For anyone new to the band or only aware of "Town Called Malice" thro' the film Billy Elliott be prepared to be won over by track after track of pure musical entertainment. The band drew their inspiration from bands of the sixties like the Who, Small Faces, Kinks & the Beatles with just a hint of Soul and current bands (at the time such as the Clash and the Sex Pistols. Influences aside the musical style is uniquely their own. The album contains nine of their singles including the No 1's 'Going Underground', 'Start', 'Town Called Malice' & 'Beat Surrender'. All in all this is the difinitive " Best of " album & a fantastic bang for the buck.
