    Great story of an important artist in his own words.

    Very interesting story. I was a big EJ fan as a kid in the 70s but lost interest over time. But never knew what he went through. I had no idea. He is fairly honest I think though some of his family members would and do dispute some of the things in the book. Some aspects of his personality I like more after reading this and some I like less, but it is a great story regardless.

    Elton‘s only autobiography

    Elton John’s autobiography is really great. If you’re a fan of Elton John, you’ll love this book. As a companion to it, you might want to get a book by his lyricist Bernie Taupin called Scattershot. Bernie is mentioned in Elton’s book, and Elton is mentioned in Bernie’s book.

    50 Years On with Captain Fantastic!

    I became a lifetime fan of Elton in 1971. His music was the soundtrack of my military life and every phase since. I love reading his story in his voice. Open, raw and real. I knew much of his story but to have the details filled in by the Madman Across the Water himself is awesome.
