1st edition, 2nd impression edition of "The Drunken Forest," by Gerald Durrell is as pictured & described. Arrived quickly & safely! Got a great deal on it! Great communication! The book, with a protective mylar cover, was wrapped in bubble wrap, then wrapped in sturdy cardboard, then placed in a rugged bubble mailer! Fort Knox in a mailer! So hard to get an early edition of this classic! So happy to add to my growing collection of nature & science books! Thank you! !!Seller Highly Recommended!!

  • Facts and Fabrications Unraveling the History of Quilts & Slavery

I received the book promptly and it was in excellent condition. It is a great historical quilting book that I had looked for and am not disappointed. The pages are full of information about American slavery and quilts that slaves made. There are quilt blocks and patterns galore to coordinate with the history of the times.

  • Good read, great patterns!

This book explores the role quilts may have played in aiding slaves to escape via the Underground Railroad. It is a book for history buffs as well as quilters. Several quilting projects are included, designed by the author.

  • Simple but, I need some piece quilting experience

I like the book, I am not good enough yet to understand how to piece some of the blocks. The instructions are designed for quilters with more knowledge then I currently have. There are template designs, cuttinginstructions, fabric estimates, sampler projects included in the book.
