    Great Optical and Build Quality at a Keen Price

    I bought this lens to use on both film and digital bodies. I have always had a macro lens on my wish list but not as an immediate priority. I had looked at genuine Nikon lenses but was not prepared to pay the extra especially considering I was only expecting to use it at odd times. For the price this lens is excellent value for money giving excellent image quality. It does not feature the optical stability function but as it will be mostly used on a tripod, it does not matter to any degree. The lens is also fine for use as a medium telephoto for portraits. At the wide end it gives a nice blurring (bokeh) to backgrounds. I also like the build. Again for the price the lens feels quite well-made.
