item received, and model in good condition although box and stand has visibly scratches. Listed as new but more likely a used item.

I appreciate the positive feedback, but the model (and the stand) were brand new. Many stands have aluminium name plates and quite frequently these are scratched because the manufacturers keep these stacked on top of one another before they get printed. This is a quality control issue which all manufacturers have. The model was manufactured many years ago, and so storing and shifting these models from one warehouse to another can cause their cardboard boxes to get scratches.
