The NES was a phenomenal system but the majorityof the games were not designed for casual or relaxed play. Kirby's adventure automatically saves the player's progress and gives constant opportunities for 1-ups and power-ups. However, the game is still loaded with hidden content, mini games, and clever bosses to keep things interesting for hardcore gamers. The graphics and sound quality are some of the best on the system as it was released towarsds the end of system's era. I collect original NES games and this is one of the few that I will happily replay over and over again as a grown man with a busy schedule and children. The replay value is strong and the game still functions well with new gamers who are accustomed to more forgiving environments. One of the levels at the ned is designed to look like Kirby is in the GAMEBOY which will give nostalgic players the instant feels. There is nothing quite like playing it on the original hardware with the painful rectangular controller. The game is still affordable and significantly chaper than it would have been NEW. Product barely works, tried other NES games and they work well, this copy glitches and freezes and is virtually impossible to play. Highly disappointed.

I originally got this game for GameBoy before realizing it was originally released on NES. Brought me right back and I was surprised to find that a game I could never beat with a 6 year old brain only took me about 4 hours to complete in full on the NES. But that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. Easily one of the most versatile games for its time, and worth every minute of gameplay. Thanks a ton for keeping the classics alive!

Another classic side-scroller game, featuring my favorite video game character of all time. While a side-scrolling game wasn't a particularly new idea at the time, Kirby was unique in that the main character could assimilate the abilities of certian creatures. A large variety of powers were in the game, some great (UFO), others confusing (Ball), others downright silly (Sleep). Each World is set in a large hub screen, where Kirby can enter various levels, play sub-games for extra lives, and assimilate abilities. The gameplay is classic side-scrolling; simply get to the end of the level. The large number of abilities allow each player to tackle the game in his or her own way. This game isn't just classic; it's still as fun today as it was back then. A graphically upgraded version was released on Gameboy Advance (Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land), but nothing beats the classic. Pick this game up or download it from the Wii Virtual console...you won't regret it.Read full review
This is to me one of the greatest games for this console! The graphics are majestic and the gameplay is genius. It is an over 30 stages adventure (plus mini games) and many secrets that make the replay-ability of this game a thing to consider. It has saving capability that keeps track of your progress and shows a percentage. The levels can get challenging but on the fun side. The animation is colorful, charming and I can just go on and on....one of my favorite games ever 😁

Pros: This is a fantastic platform game that really pulls the best of what the NES can do. The graphics are bright and colorful, the sprites are nice and big with good detail. The gameplay is standard Kirby. If you have played the original from the Game Boy, you know what do to. With the addition of different Kirby "Modes", it opens up the game play to various degrees. The mini-games are fun and original. I love the showdown game personally. Tons of levels to play and they are very varied. Cons: The various Kirby "Modes" make the game far too easy. The game is very easy as it stands, but it makes it far more easy than it should be. Overall: This game is an almost perfect game. It showcases all of the best of old school gaming while showing none of the bad. As one of the final NES games ever made, it is also one of the best, falling short of games like Mario 3. If a game is only slightly less than Mario 3, you can count on this game being very good!Read full review
I got this for my 8yr old daughter and she absolutely loves it. We have a clubroom set up downstairs with an old NES plugged in (along with an SNES, Genesis, N64, Dreamcast, etc.) so that she can play some of the classics. This game is colorful, silly and well designed, holding up nicely after all these years. It's not too easy or too difficult so most would enjoy this. Especially recommended to those who prefer platformer games like Super Mario, Sonic, Crash, Rayman, etc. If you have young kids I can't recommend enough getting your hands on these old games; they're cheap but incredibly entertaining.
If you don't know about Kirby... then where have you been? This backup mascot to Mario is a really fun and cute alternative to the mustached plumber. In Kirby you inhale enemies, steal their powers, and best of all you can float! On top of that, the animation in this game is amazing for an 8-bit title, although it was released closer to the end of the NES's lifespan. The controls are fantastic, Kirby is a cute little bugger, the bosses are fun to beat, and the stage design is awesome. Kirby is a lot of fun for kids, adults and your grandma too. Check it out!
Everybody's favorite pink ball makes his way to the NES in Kirby's Adventure. The source of all dreams, the Dream Springs, has dried up. Now, everyone is subjected to their worst nightmares every time they go to sleep. Using 20 unique tricks and the ability to steal your enemies' powers by eating them, you'll have to make your way through a horrific land filled with all kinds of nightmares. If you succeed, everyone in Dream Land will sleep peacefully once again. But if you fail, the citizens of Dream Land will be subjected to a lifetime of terrible nightmares! This is a great game, and the debut game for Kirby. If you're a Kirby fan, this is a must own game.
This game is one of the best games I've ever played for the NES. Even now that I have all the modern consoles and games, this game is still fun to go back to play. A must have to add to the NES collection.
