Ah, nostalgia's not what it used to be! Despite plots with holes so big you could drop a supertanker in, this is a really enjoyable series from the sixties. Obviously, it looks somewhat dated; there is one scene in a garage in London with petrol at 5/4 (= 27p) per gallon - about 5p per litre - I wish! However, this, for me, is the attraction; it has rickety sets, computers with spinning reels of tape and a myriad of flashing lights, three agents who are always immaculately dressed in jacket and tie, or a dress, and communications with nothing more advanced than a radio or a telephone. The other big attraction is spotting the well-known faces that appeared in series like this at the star of their careers - Donald Sutherland, Steven Berkoff, Kate O'Mara, Paul Eddington, Bernard Lee and Donald Houston, amongst others, all appear as guest actors in various episodes. One thing I do like is the voiceover near the start of each episode explaining how Craig, Sharron and Richard got their super powers from a lost race in Tibet and how they must keep them secret from the rest of humanity, usually as it shows them on a golf course knocking in holes-in-one in front of other people, or picking up weights in a gym that the bodybuilder has struggled with - very secret! Overall, an excellent boxed set if you want some great nostalgia and a not-too-complicated and often ludicrous plot lines!Read full review
Brings back memories of when I watched it when I was 10! Its of its time, a bit low budget at times but excellent storyline. I enjoyed it

I’ve been after this product for a while, but since Networks demise, the prices of 1960’s action adventure series have shot up I’m pleased to have purchased The Champions within the budget I set for myself

i loved the show when i was young. always wanted to see it again. was every happy to come across it on e-bay. i already have the first 15 shows on a different set. now i have the whole series. i think it was better than the man from uncle, and all the rest of the shows of its time.
Great! Love the slightly cheesy episodes - its such a shame they never made a second series! I have been watching episodes on TV but never got the chance to see the whole series so here it is!
I liked everything about it, it brings back the 1960's period, I used to watch every Wednesday night. If you like the 60's this is for you! For those who don't know anything about it, it is about three agents who after a plane crash are given special powers which they must keep secret. With these powers they fight crimes around the world. Excellent action adventure for this era.
This is a great series and I remember watching it as a child and have thoroughly enjoyed it again. It is a great story line and I'm surprised it has never been made into a film. The actors are well suited to the roles and can be seen in other series of the time for example Randle and Hopkirk (Deceased). A real piece of family entertainment.
