Reasonaby priced well featured smart looking radio. Promptly despatched. Only slight criticism is the low paered sound output, volume needs to be at about 3/4 to hear clearly in an average room.

I now have three of this model (L55DAB 15) DAB+ radio's, one bought Feb 2016 and the two most recent in Aug 2020 and Sept 2020 all for below £30. All three perform consistently the same. With a good signal sound quality is clear without distortion, however there is no base response due to the small speakers so more suited to Speech, music lovers will probably be disappointed. I usually listen to speech stations. The two independant alarm settings make this better suited for use as a bedroom radio or in a small kitchen. The display backlight has three settings High, Medium, Low and off settings. I live in a Strong DAB signal area so can't comment on the radio's DAB signal sensitivity. One of the options on the "Info" button is supposed to indicate received signal strength but on all three of my radios it always gives the same indication whether the aerial is up or down or in different locations so doesn't look as though this function is working. When first switching the radio on after a factory reset leave the aerial in its stowed position so that when doing its DAB band scanning only the stronger stations are registered otherwise you will probably get a load of gurgling out of area stations as well as the ones you want. Alternatively you can perform a manual scan selecting only your local multiplexes. Refer to the manual to store your favourite 10 stations in the preset list which is easier when you know how. The FM section of the radio also has 10 presets. Reception is a little bit deaf so extend the aerial when doing a search for stations to add to the preset list. An annoyance is the supplied power brick which has the lead extending in front of the earth pin for the two most recent radios which causes issues with the likes of 3 way plug adaptors. Also one of the recent power bricks failed so had to be returned, so may be an issue with them. Haven't tried using with batteries so can't comment. Good value for the price I paid < £30Read full review

Nice compact radio sound quality not too bad. Not figured out how to use all features yet.

Purchased this radio as new and was happy to get it. For me nothing to complain about it in terms off sound, reception, how to use, all good from this point of view. However, a major issue I had is that the original adapter came with the radio and which connects the radio to electricity became dead in a matter of 24 hours, although the radio is new and has not been turned on much but only adapter plugged in at both ends! Got a new replacement for the adapter and surprisingly same issue again as it stopped working within 24 hours, though the radio works fine on batteries. I have no reason to assume that there is a problem with my electricity socket, so I don't really know whether this is an issue with the radio or adapter is just being useless.

Very pleased with this re-conditioned radio which compares very well with the other 3 DAB radios we have around the house which were more expensive. Not used all the facilities yet but quite easy to use although reference to the instruction booklet is sometimes necessary, I'm forgetful! Have not yet used with batteries.
