About this product

Product Information

A golfing phenom, Timmy Price (Mason Gamble from RUSHMORE and DENNIS THE MENACE), has all the tools to become a professional. Realizing this, his father (Dylan Baker) gets Timmy a job as a caddy at the local country club. Timmy's game continues to improve, and his knowledge of the world becomes broader as well through his understanding of the social and economic class system that is well out of balance on this golf course. This moving coming-of-age story returns one CADDYSHACK alumnus to the links with Brian Doyle-Murray starring as the groundskeeper Tomato Face.

  • A Good Movie Adaptation of a Great Novel!

Although the novel, by author Tom Coyne, is outstanding, this film hits the same notes pretty well. I own all of Tom Coyne's books, which except for "A Gentleman's Game" are non-fiction, and he's become one of my favorite writers. I've seen this film several times, but well before I became friends with Tom, so I'm looking forward to viewing the movie through a different lens. By the way, since this movie isn't available via streaming services anymore, I'm planning to host a watch party for my fellow caddies and golf buddies. It'll be fun to introduce them to a version of Tom's first successful work!

  • Good movie, but not for innocent ears!!

The story was very good, but it uses way too many cuss words!

  • Another great golf film.

I enjoyed the "A Gentleman's Game". I generally like golf films, especially ones that go to the heart of the game and the gentlemen that play it. Unlike films like "Tin Cup" real golfers agree with the quote from "Bagger Vance" - It's a game that can't be won, just played. As it's been said before golf is the only game where the player calls the penalty on him/herself (except of course Tiger Woods who's above that sort of thing).
