Simple Great Plot ! makes you look at RS world in a different better way
I am not a Heavy reader , However as a child i always Loved Runescape and played it for 5 years ! Now i am 18 and i figured I'd buy the book and give it a read through. I have Read 2 World of Warcraft Books , as i have played that game to , And i must say , I prefere This book from the 2 WoW books i read. This book is Simple in it's way , However as simple as is it is , it has a very very intense Plot and story to it , so it is simple to read - But a good read to understand. It keeps you thinking and Guessing on what is about to happen , it isn't an Obvious book where you think "oh i know what's gonna happen next" because as soon as you think that , as you are reading you figure out you where wrong. The story is quite nice and has a very nice Mash up on the use of the Varrock-Barbarian ... I am not a Heavy reader , However as a child i always Loved Runescape and played it for 5 years ! Also in the book , It makes the game sound more larger and more spectacular and has a very nice adventure sence to it. In the book , you read how it takes "days" to reach Barbarian Village from Falador , Which i recall only took a matter of about 30 seconds in-game. So this adds a nice feel to it. I also Loved how in the book , the Metal element Adamant (the green bar) Is the Rarest and strongest Metal in the Runescape world (unlike the game) And how Rune (the metal element in game) Is So rare and scarce it is only used for Jewelry. This to me was a nice "refreshing taste". I also Liked the Unique names given to the Characters , and the use of Different Races and not only humans. It was also refreshing to have a female main character for a change and how the story revolves around unlikely-to-meet adventurers. All in all i think this is a great read !
