    Well-watchable UK crime series!

    Good British Crime drama, not too obvious for once, so you get to think whilst watching. I like US series such as The Wire and Breaking Bad and am usually disappointed in UK-written drama series but this was good dialogue and characters, and not too much dramatic license so as to make it completely unbelievable (though there was a bit). Great characterisation from Idris Elba. Had seen him in The Wire which made me curious about Luther. Also the relationships with his assistant and with the main suspect in first episode kept interest and were very well played. Got this having watched Series 2 on TV but had missed first series. Worth the watch as the storyline linked up with series 2 at times.

    Subtitles

    I think that the series should be subtitled, there will be many people, like me who probably did not have the pleasure to see the series for not having subtitles, if by chance there is a series or all series of Luther that have subtitles would like to inform me , thank you

    Ok product! wish it played on American DVD players

    Like the BBC series Luther, great actor, he should play the next Alex Cross. Dislike:You can't use the BBC DVD on any American DVD players. I can only watch this on my laptop. Product compare:Bought Strike Back also a BBC DVD, but plays perfect on all American DVD player, so Luther not good.
