      Excellent skimmer

      I am using this on a tank too large for it (350 litres) yet it does the job amazingly, I just have to empty it more often! It is quiet, settled in very quickly and is totally easy to clean. Fantastic skimmer. I might just buy another one instead of upgrading to a bigger skimmer once I am fully stocked, worth every penny. It even looks good sitting at the back of the tank. No complaints whatsoever.

      Compact and well made but expensive

      As with all Tunze products I have owned this compact skimmer shows its pedigree, but it is quality you pay for. It works well for a compact unit and compared with other skimmers I have owned extremely quiet. The reason it got three stars rather than five is the air tube regularly clogs with salt and the unit stops foaming. I turn it off for a couple of minutes every few days so the salt dissolves back into the water and it works fine again. On a relatively expensive unit from a highly regarded manufacturer this should not happen.

      Best skimmer I've had

      Installed in my 110 litre reef tank and works like a dream with minimum fuss and started collecting brown skimmate on first day of use. Magnetic mount is excellent and easy to use. Has surface skimmer built in which was a major selling point as I have no sump and keeps surface clean of any film and dirt particles. Started skimming right away and only adjustment I had to make was to tighten the clamp on the air suction tube to get a dryer foam. I've had the 9002 prior to this and also larger skimmers from vortex and lifereef and this beats them all in terms of effectiveness and simplicity. Highly recommended.
