You choose to play either the Autobot side or Decepticons side robots to clear chapters, somewhat based on the story. Each chapter consists of several missions that are hard to clear. Once your time is up or couldn't meet the criteria of missions, you will have to redo the entire missions from the begining of that chapter which was a disapointment and frustrating. This game is for single player only. A little hard to get used to control the camera view which is linked with the pointer (up/down/sideways) of the remote control keep changing unwantedly as you try to fight the opponent in the game. You also need the Nunchuck to play. Overall, it is a well made, nice graphic game. It is just a little frustrating to clear each chapter as you have to clear all missions at once. I hope this was a 2 player simultaneous play game but may have been difficult to incorporate all that with not so powerful computing system of Wii.Read full review
This game was a lot of fun for $20. The characters were realistic and were just like the movie! The characters from the game also had the voices from the movie. THAT certainly is enjoyable. I thought it was fun the way you can pick up things and throw them around, too. And let's not forget all the explosions, video clips, and art work! Another plus is being able to choose whether you want to be a decepticon or an autobot. I haven't tried the decepticon play yet. There are a lot of things that could have been better. The characters could have done more fighting styles instead of just one type of punch, kick, and throw. What also stinks is the difficulty levels. There are none! I must have been stuck on a level for at least an hour before I could finally proceed to the next level! At least it's challenging...that makes it worth while. The camera mode is just irritating, at least on the Wii. I'm too busy trying to set the camera in the right direction! I was pounding Barricade with Bumblebee then all the sudden the camera went haywire and he killed me! Ugh! Overall, I would say that this game is enjoyable. What's more fun then kicking robot butt with explosions, chasing, and throwing palm trees everywhere? Exactly! It keeps you busy, THAT'S for sure!Read full review
This is a great game for transformers fans and just anybody thirsting to destroy entire cities with giant robots. The game itself isn't as bad as reveiwers on popular gaming sites make it out to be. The only really bad things about the game are the camera and the controls. Everything else is great. The graphics are sweet, the robot-to-car transformations are amazing, and the battles are super fun. The game isn't very long, but with duel campaigns and plenty of extras just waiting to be discovered, you'll have a blast running around the city (and reducing it to rubble!) Nearly everything is destructable. This game really puts me in the mind of grand Theft auto, only you are the car. So all in all, great game. worth $40, not $50.
I really enjoy playing this game, but since you cannot reconfigure the controller you are stuck using the Wiimote to control the camera which is very difficult. Especially if you get into close combat. If you point the controller up by accident, the camera zooms all the way in which makes it really hard to see and it is hard to pull back out. Other than that I love the gameplay and the graphics are decent.
The game overall is great. Graphics are good and the different abilities of what you can do with the robots are good too. There are two things that I think they could have improved on the game was a better manual that came with the game and some more content to the game with some places that you could branch off of the main concept.
Excellent Graphics,Realistic,Wish more character choices other than just Megatron and Bumblebee, though. I like the 360 degree view control with force vibration feedback to the nunchuck remote and one button transformation from vehicle to autobot. My son loved transformers. Not recommended for young children since it's nothing more than shoot them up and destruction kind of game. Definitely rated PG13 just like the movie.
Transformers: The game is the best Transformers game yet. You can choose between being the Autobots or the Decepticons and then explore these totally vast areas either saving people, or just wrecking havoc all over the place. The controls for the wii version of this game are perfect, nothing like waving your arms to smash cars and throw trees.
Well so far the game is ok! The camera veiwing is not very good. In a fight you can get all mixed up and have to keep hitting the rest camera view to keep and eye on your enemy. Fighting controls take some getting use to, I pretty much swing the contollers around and kill everything with no real problems. Driving in the game isn't very accurate either. The controls seem slow, and turning is very poor. I got the game for $20(thats why I bought it) and its worth about that! It does have alot of unlockable extras so if your into that this games got it!
I have played a demo of this game and it is awesome. you are able to decide if you want to be evil or good and you then complete missions to either save lifes or take them. this large vast world is distructable just like in the HULK or Spiderman vidoe games. Its also Very similar to Grand Theft Auto, with the exception that you can pick up hookers. I would say this is a must have game for the serious one player gamers.
I bought the war for cybertron game first. Then the rotf game. I acquired this game last but have to say it is by far my favorite of the three. Super fun game play. Lots of hidden and unlockable content. Hours of fun. It does make me motion sick if I play for too long. Just fair warning. Everything else about this game is all you could hope for as a Transformer fan.
