  • The ICD-UX200 is stylish and compact

The company Sony has always served me well with other products so I stuck with an old reliable friend. I use it for personal note taking and training courses, the battery lasts well and is rechargable saving money. Moving away from a large old tape recorder has brought me out of the dark age. The ICD-UX200 is stylish and compact, for me a great buy.

  • Not good

I am afraid it is too complicated for what I would like and the sound is very good even connected to the computer The other thing that is rubbish is the usb connection

  • Useful little gadget

I haven't found a problem with it yet. Easy to record, and to transfer to the PC, good quality. Would definitely recommend

  • Great recording device

Excellent device, does exactly what is says in write-up. I use it for University lectures, it is brilliant.

  • Outstanding

This is a terrific and reasonably priced gizmo for a musician/songwriter (or writer/critic/poet/ponce - ahem). It's sturdily built in robust and classy red plastic; with a good bit of capacity; plug and play s/ware and surprisingly decent inbuilt microphones. It has a retractable, and frankly phallic, USB which enables it to mate freely with a receptive laptop. Within 10 minutes I was downloading "chart threateners" to Facebook (via free Soundcloud s/ware). This makes an excellent (MP3) supplement to a proper recording setup; or alternatively if one needs something quick, easy and intuitive to use when the muse hits. The beauty of this device compared with the others I've owned (cheaper Olympus variants) is that it's all in one highly portable package. Very highly recommended.
