Reviews
3 stars out of 5 -- "'So Long Old Bean' quivers like prime English psychedelia and Freely is a luminous pastoral ballad...", Included in Rolling Stone's "50 Top Albums of the Year 2007"., "It Comes Across As a Thoroughly Envisioned and Executed Work, Maybe Even a Classic.", "Banhart still spins the type of delicate, fragile folk that captivated us in the first place, though now he's more likely to layer psychedelic atmospherics or link it to Tropicalia.", 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "Here his music has a renewed sense of wide-open space....His lyrics are just clouds passing through the sky, and his melodies are trees to climb.", 4 stars out of 5 -- "SMOKEY...introduces a more complex Banhart....'Freely' is as good a song as he's ever written, actually -- a musically mature relative of 'Heard Somebody Say' from CRIPPLE CROW.", 4 stars out of 5 -- "'Saved' is full-on gospel; 'Lover' sounds like disco as John Lennon would have understood it; and 'Tonada Yanomamonista' rocks like the Doors as produced by Ennio Morricone.", "A sprawling collection of psych-rock gems, sweet Spanish ditties, and ambitious sonic experiments." -- Grade: B+, 3 stars out of 5 -- "Hushed, delicate ballads like 'Cristobal' and 'So Long Old Bean' sound like nobody else..."

Fantastic seller! My item took longer than normal to arrive but that's due to them sending me the wrong dvd. Not to worry though, I contacted them and they arranged for the correct dvd to be sent out. My item has now arrived and the dvd was in excellent condition (brand new as described) and it was very well packaged. I would also like to say that the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this seller, thank you so much! The issue with the wrong dvd was quickly rectified .

Book arrived safely packaged in perfect order. Item as described, new. Thank you Rarewaves Outlet. Fascinating book, great addition to my collection. Great price. Would recommended this seller. No communication needed with seller, so don't know what to rate with regards to communication (please dont take lack of feedback on this matter as a negative). Thanks again.

This vinyl is really reasonably priced and I love that it is one of the more unusual colours. It arrived well packaged, undamaged and looks as described. It arrived late, due to Royal Mail's Festive rush, but was dispatched by the seller really quickly. When I contacted them to ask where it was, they replied really quickly with a helpful solution. Such good customer service, so strongly recommend. Really happy with my purchase.

  • Devendra Banhart, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon

The great Devandar continues on his musical journey, changing minds and outlooks as he goes. A mixture of soft gentle, hold me tight, ballads and hard rocking bass lines, reminiscent of the The Doors in the 70's. Unique and unparalleled in its variety. Devendra will change the way you think about the world, your relationships and yourself, if you give him a chance. He doesn't have an axe to grind, nor criticisms of others, he simply says what he likes, tells you who he likes and leaves you to make up your mind whether or not you like his music. I for one can't get enough.
