Have read reviews for this manual wide angle lens for Mirrorless cameras for some time and finally decided to get myself one. It is all that others have said it to be. Solidly built if quality materials. Well designed with both Focus and Aperture rings being firm but free moving. Looks good on the camera ( Fuji Xe3 ). Front cap and hood as well constructed as the rest of it. As far as results are concerned I am yet to give it a lot if use but my first two shoots confirmed what I had hopped. Pin sharp, great colour rendition , professional looking images. As long as you are happy to focus manually this gem if a lens is great value. A joy to use and picture that are a joy to see. Great eBay transaction as always.

The Samsung 12mm lens is surprisingly sharp in the centre even wide open, and not offensive in the corners. Vignetting is not very evident. As for colour rendition, it is slightly different to my Fujifilm lenses, but I really like it a lot. In fact, I have put aside some decidedly fancier lenses in favour of this one for some weeks now and have produced shots that I am really pleased with. The beauty of a 12mm lens is that autofocus is almost redundant. You can quickly get used to using this manual focus lens as a point and shoot and expect to get consistently sharp images. With a little trial and error you can even set up the lens to give you a gently defocused background. One minor niggle is that the integral mount spacer at the base of the lens on mine is a tacky silver finish rather than being all black. It makes it look a bit cheap, so I don't understand why they have made this style change. All the same, this lens is small, sharp, and a delight to use. At this price, this is one lens you definitely want to have in your bag.Read full review

My main focus of work is in developing clinical training videos for the NHS so suffice to say the quality of image needs to be consistent throughout different scenarios whether it be in a studio, outdoors or at a hired home shoot. This lens does it all and more! As an ultra wide, I can shoot with this on a stabilised gimbal without the need to worry about pulling focus. The focus ring is a little stiff but I doubt you'll be using it much! The aperture ring has a very nice click and the lens feels solid thanks to its mostly metal construction. Great optics and sharp wether wide open or stopped down. An amazing value lens!

great for my night photography, well constructed. love to experiment with it. It is a manual lens, both focus and aperture, so requires a little extra but it's fun. works great on my a6000. would recommend
