If you decide to buy this DVD be advised it has lots of female nudity! Then again that is exactly what it is like at a MOTLEY CRUE concert! Some of the editing of this concert could have been improved but other than that this is a must have for any CRUE fan. I have played my copy about 15 times in the two weeks I have owned it, and love every minute of it. Vince's vocals are not perfect, but if they were he would be lyp syncing. THe set list is one of CRUE's tightest. Featuring an onslaught of material from nearly all their albums (The self titled Motley Crue album is the only one NOT represented here.) Lots of fireworks, Video Screens, and daredevil performances by special guests is partially what makes this DVD so great. However, seeing Tommy Lee doing a drum solo on 3 seperate drum kits (2 suspended above the audience) is the real treat to this DVD. Other notable segments include Nikki Sixx's Firey Solo, Flamethrowers, and Tommy Lee's Audience cam (A must see). Overall I would rate this DVD 9 1/2 * It would get a 10, but CRUEFEST 2008 was better.Read full review
I originally bought the dvd because I had such a great time at the show and wanted something to remember it. Not only did the dvd meet my expectations but the dvd actually exceeded them. I am a huge Motley fan and think that they are one of the best live bands of all time. This dvd does an excellent job of duplicating the Motley concert experience. I own many concert dvd's and this is my favorite one. I would recommend this dvd to anyone who has been to a Motley show and wants to own a dvd to remember the experience. I would also recommend the dvd to anyone who has never been to a Motley show but would like a dvd that shows what its like to be in the audience of an awesome Rock concert.
Awesome. Simply awesome. I bought the DVD after seeing them open for the Rolling Stones in Portland Nov 1st, 2005 & never expected it to be this good. The show is brilliantly done and captures the Crue at their absolute best. The set list and stage are spectacular not to mention the clothed/unclothed women throughout this DVD. Well worth the $20 I spent considering it's a fraction of today's ticket cost (Stones tix were $160 each!). Grab a bottle of cold Jagermeister, kick back, kill the lights and enjoy the show. It'll blow your freakin' mind and rock your ass off. Hell, I'm still looking for mine!!! Ed, Latitude 61 West of New York City
