The Pioneer KRP-600A - the best TV in the world!
I bought the KRP-600A a few months after buying the KRP-500A so that I could put the 50" TV in the bedroom and create a home cinema type of environment in my lounge using the larger newly acquired version. When you consider that the price of the 60" model was £6,500 before the recession hit and only dropped because Pioneer were having trouble selling them, then you'll probably conclude that either I'm a rich fool who doesn't know what to do with his money, or that there must be something more to these TV's that would make someone go and splash out that kind of money. I can assure you that I am neither rich nor insane. The reason I bought a second one is because there simply isn't a better TV in the world that money can buy. Working in the television ... Working in the television industry, I've seen pictures on some of the best monitors in the world, some costing substantially more than the KRP-600A, so when I saw the pictures on the 50" I'd bought, I was simply blown away with the clarity, sharpness, colour, and functionality of it, so it was a done deal that I should move the 50" into my bedroom and buy the KRP-600A which is a 60" TV for the lounge. It's difficult to describe just how much better the KRP range is compared to any other TV in the world, just as it's difficult to describe the taste of salt to someone who hasn't tasted it first. The pictures are so accurate (especially in the "Pure Mode" which doesn't mess around with them), that when I'm watching a Bluray movie, it's almost like an "out of body" experience, as the images are so convincing. Black is truly black with the KRP series, with a depth I've never experienced before, and the colours are so convincing that you feel you can almost reach out and touch the actors. Watching a movie in Bluray is so absorbing that it's easy to forget that you're watching a movie, it's almost as if you are there on the set where the film was shot. Based on my experience, if there is any Plasma TV you are going to buy, and you can afford the price tag, then definately buy this one, and if you're still not convinced, read other reviews from both the professionals and written by people who've taken the plunge and bought one. The adage, "you get what you pay for", was never as accurate as when applied to the KRP-600A television. Thanks for your attention.
