I've just bought and attachment for it that allows you to use a drill to wind it. I've not used it yet but hopefully it works well. I can do about 130 rounds in about 15 minutes that's enough for a double thickness hat about 12" long. That's handwinding. I can complete a hat in about 45mins from start to finish. I recommend this product. You tube do tutorials for for it. Good luck and enjoy
