I have done tests on my bulb: It starts lighting at 9 volts, drawing 50mA. At 12 volts it draws 150mA. At 14 volts it draws 200ma (0.2 amp) The consumption is only sixth of the original filament lamp previously fitted, and gives more light in downward direction. Pleased! I did notice at 14 volts, one end cap got very hot suggesting that is where the current is being controlled.
