      A great little pick.

Since I have arthritis in my right hand, holding a pick has become problematic. This thumbpick is very comfortable and stays in place. I use it to play tenor banjo. I've tried both the hard and medium picks and prefer the sound of the medium.

BETTER TO GET REAL THUMB PICKS

I tried a variety of thumb picks - it takes getting used to but you are better off feeling a little "squeeze pain" in your thumb instead of using the Hercos which, although comfortable on the thumb, fall off too easily for practical guitar playing. Yes I know they look "just like a regular pick" but that is not the idea behind a thumb pick. I don't use these at all anymore. Pass and move on to the real thing. No pain no gain.

    • Pick is great but...

Part that wraps around thumb doesn’t fully wrap around and I have skinny fingers? So you end up with indent from pick as it digs in on top of thumb. Easy fix for mfg. just add a quarter-inch more of plastic to wrap fully around then you have perfect thumb pic.

    • Thumb picks

The Herco flat thumb pick gives you the flexibility of using it as a regular pick while the ability to fingerpick without using an additional finger to secure a flat pick. I have used these for almost 3 decades and turned many players on to them. Choose the gauge i.e.: a thin for electric work, medium for acoustic and I use heavy for the dobro. You are able to utilize finger rolls and shredding techniques with the same pick. It is a very flexible tool.

    • NICE THUMB PICK

Produces a loud, clear tone. The only drawback is that it sometimes gets caught in the strings and gets pulled off your thumb.
