About this product

Product Information

It began in Scotland, at an ancient stone circle. Claire Randall was swept through time into the arms of James Fraser whose love for her became legend - a tale of tragic passion that ended with her return to the present to bear his child. Two decades later, Claire travelled back again to reunite with Jamie, this time in frontier America. But Claire had left someone behind in her own time - their daughter Brianna. Now Brianna has made a disturbing discovery that sends her to the stone circle and a terrifying leap into the unknown. In search of her mother and the father she has never met, she risks her own future to try to change history - and to save their lives. But as Brianna plunges into an uncharted wilderness, a heartbreaking encounter may strand her forever in the past...or root her in the place she should be, where her heart and soul belong...

The book arrived in perfect condition well packaged. It was a couple of days later than promised but I think this was a PO problem rather than the seller. A good price and as described. When the seller was contacted as the book had not arrived they immediately replied - could not fault. Would use this seller again.

I buy from this seller all the time and believe them to be the best of the BIG second-hand UK sellers. Comms are excellent and they respond quickly and make a real effort to resolve issues. Pricing is good and descriptions accurate and fair. Postage is free so there won't be any extra packing but I've never had a problem with items damaged in transit.

    Hearts Beating As One

This book is one of a series written by Diana Gabaldon, with the main characters Claire and Jamie Fraser - he from the 17th Century, she from the 19th Century. Their story starts in a book called Outlander (or Cross Stitch), and continues, in the series. In this book, Drums of Autumn, the Frasers have moved to South Carolina, where they are granted land, and build their homestead - with other exiled Highlanders joining them. They are starting their new lives, when their daughter (who Claire returned to the 19th C to give birth to) begins her quest to find them. She goes from Boston to Scotland, steps through the Standing Stones as her Mother has done, and finds herself in the 17th C too. Eventually she reaches her parents, and her 19th C boyfriend realises what she's done, and follows ...

This book was not the one I ordered it does not match the photo. This book is the old version not the up to date version so the photo is wrong.

  • An addictive series

It's a bit cheesy at times but the story is mostly well written and since I'm on the fourth book that says it all!
