    A useful addition to the lap stand.

    This item converts the lap stand for embroidery from a hoop support to a clamp for other shapes and sizes of embroidery frame but it must be appreciated that anything above a certain weight will put the assembly under strain and a heavy frame will not be adequately supported. Having said that it is well made, easy to use, and extends the usefulness of your lap stand.

    Not a good fitting to hold a hoop

    The base and upright with plastic screw are good quality and works well. The plastic fitting to hold a hoop is unreliable. The hoop twists downwards however firmly the wing nuts are tightened. I have replaced the post with fitting for an Elbesee hoop with attached post which fits the base perfectly. This arrangement was s very satisfactory.

    Tapestry/Embroidery Frame

    This was a simple kit frame to put together made from good strong pieces of a light coloured Wood. After placing my embroidery frame with my work already on it, it was just a case of sitting on my sewing chair and placing the frame between my thighs and getting along with my sewing project . I would highly recommend this product for make and price. I give it a 10/10 rating.

    Use for small projects

    Used so far for a hoop and a small rectangle frame, will overbalance with anything too heavy, but good for 2 handed projects, that are too small for a floor stand. I like the way you can flip it up to weave threads in the back.
