    A Leap of an Upgrade

    I previously was using an MSI R9 390 Gaming 8G GPU and would run a consistent 70fps on iRacing with Med/High settings on triple 29” monitors at 144hz. I upgraded to this MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G and the increase in FPS has been astonishing keeping the same graphical settings. I’m now pushing 125-150 fps even in high load situations. I am using the MSI Gaming App to overclock the speeds and have liquid cooling on my GPU as well as the CPU. This card runs quiet enough that I do not hear it unlike my radiator fans that spin at up 2,000 RPM to expel the hot air from my PC case. This was a worthwhile investment of money. I may even think of going a step further and finding a good deal on an MSI GTX 1080ti Card for the added GPU RAM and higher clock speeds.

    MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G

    No coil whine and keeps cool with 90+mhz gpu offset and 400+mhz memory offset. It's not a 144mhz 1080p max settings new AAA title monster but will get the job done at decent fps. It's either this or a 2060, or a 3050 at a much higher price for similar performance. 1080 for the win In 2022.

    Great GPU!

    Sorry I took so long to review this, but the GPU is amazing. It's been very stable, runs relatively cool with the 43" 4K monitor that is connected to it. I've had zero issues with it and would recommend it to users requiring 4K compatibilties from their GPUs.
