This is the second of these same brand remotes I've bought from this same seller, although a slightly different case & button design from the first. The first was to replace my TV recorders original remote that had got unreliable and this item gave all the required control buttons for its advance play functions (most aftermarket remotes do not!). That was 18 months ago and it's still working fine, so I came straight to this seller, when I got a 2nd hand identical recorder sold w/o a remote!

Easy to use with no set up required
Very good product. No set up required....just pop the batteries in and its good to go! It is very similar to the digital stream remote I was replacing. Most of buttons in same place. Also, good quality product for the price. Compared to other replacement remotes i.e. universal remotes...this one is so easy to use with no programming. I would highly recommend.

Excellent pictures from HD and SD via HDMI
The box is very small and black (my previous box is about four times the size). The unit gives excellent pictures out of the HDMI connector. I have not tried the SCART. The remote control fits very well into the hand, but the buttons may be a bit small for some people. I have had no problems using it. I wish that the front panel display could be dimmed or turned off as it is a bit bright when the room is dark. There is a very good user’s forum and an excellent review can be found on line. Firmware updating is done via the USB port and not over the air. So users should be familiar with downloading firmware to a computer and copying it to a USB stick.The box is very small and black (my previous box is about four times the size). Very easy to use,
Intuitive and important to me it operates with a weaker signal than the Humax I had before meaning no drop outs with this one. Definiteley the brand to choose if your signal is below par.

This product is slightly bigger and less ergonomic than the original . This remote uses AA rather than the original which had AAA. It appears more generic and all the functions have been mapped over. A useful instruction included within the receipt explains which functions are mapped to which buttons. Very happy with the speed of delivery, and main point is, this remote works when the original had stopped.
