The JJC remote flash trigger is designed to work across a broad range of popular flash units in manual mode and most of the major makes of camera. Unlike some others flash triggers that utilize transceivers that can send or receive, the JJC flash trigger is split into a transmitter unit and one or more receiver units. This might seem like a disadvantage at first glance, but of course, whichever system you buy, you will need at least one unit to be acting as a transmitter. Set the units to one of the 16 channels and set your flash to manual and you are ready to go. A key advantage of the JJC flash trigger is that the transmitter, in particular, is a nicely compact unit, which is particularly desirable if you are using a smaller compact style camera. The transmitter can also double as a remote camera trigger if you use a suitable lead (not provided). A lead that connects a receiver to a studio light via a standard jack is, however, included. Overall the units feel robustly built and the receivers have a well placed control slider switch which has a nice firm action so that it won't be easily turned on by accident in your bag or pocket. One niggle is that the transmitter has no Off switch. No doubt the designers will argue that current is only used when the trigger button is pressed, but this is far too easy to do in your bag. I ended up removing the battery between uses. On the plus side, for this price? brilliant. Worth every penny.Read full review
