Been using Nanos but wanted a mellower sound since I play with a pick. As I've matured I've learned not to beat on the acoustic, but turn up the volume and use a gentler stroke. the guitar resonates more, I'm finally getting a good tone from my Tak.

I read great things about these strings and how long they last, etc.. Well, I guess I found out that I absolutely HATE coated strings...I would rather deal with the noise of traditional/plain strings and them not lasting as long as this weird, yucky coating that feels terrible to me... These are definitely well made strings but make sure you are into the whole "coating string" trip before you take the plunge... I am going back to uncoated strings..

I have played guitar for almost 50 year's. I wish they would have had these strings that long ago. I am done with tarnished flat sounding strings, in less than a month on the guitar. Elixer has a new loyal customer for the rest of my playing days!!! The Lord's carpentress :o)

Always love Elixir strings. I usually get the nanoweb but I decided to try these polywebs. They're ok, quite a bit brighter than the nano's but still very nice to play!

I only use Elixir strings on my acoustics, they are a great value and last 2 to 3 times longer than any other string I have used, the tone of these strings is magnificent.
