    Technically the songs are tabbed out but...

    For a collection of tabbed songs, the arrangements are pretty underwhelming. Each song is transcribed in 2 versions: the first basically shows you how to play the vocal melody on the guitar with a few simple backing chord arrangements tabbed out. The second version is a simple Travis picking arrangement of the corresponding tune. In some respects this is a step up from the old days where a collection of Hank's tunes would be scored for piano with a few chord diagrams thrown in. However, given that this collection is advertised on the cover as 'tabbed' arrangements for guitar, it wouldn't surprise anyone if you expect to see the kind of full arrangements where lead guitar & pedal steel parts are tabbed out in addition to the rhythm guitar, as was the case where Country Guitar Magazine ...
