    Now back to running like a new one.

    In great condition considering its age. Yes it has its marks and scratches but this just adds to the look of the thing. Has needed a few repairs (a leaking boiler/firebox rivet) but again considering it’s age expected. After repair and oiling now runs like a new one and is very entertaining (and educational) to the grandchildren. A great investment.

    Mamod review

    I like this Mamod because it is everything that is listed in the tell us more part of this review, ie. it is quite dur able because it is made of metal. I also find steam its self quite entertaining when I see anything powered by steam running. It is educational because a Mamod is live steam, the item shows people how live steam works, even if they have never ever seen a full steam engine. How the Mamod shows it is by lighting the fuel tablet, then the fire heats the water in the boiler, you have have to put water in or else it would go bang and when steam is made the Mamod runs.
