Perfect for the job
It does the job perfectly. Might not appear top quality but in use it inspires confidence. I've used it several times already to take some very important photos. It's far more satisfactory than an infra red one or a mobile phone app.

This little remote control works perfectly with my Pentax K-70. Especially good for avoiding vibration when using a tripod using the mirror up / remote control setting in the K-70. Press once to lock the mirror up and then release after a few seconds to fire the shutter.
