Book arrived in not what I’d call”new” state, as advertised: bent/dog-eared cover, dirty & damaged pages as well as cut in spine of the book. When I contacted the seller about the unsatisfactory condition of the book, response was “sorry to hear that”. I replied “me, too. How do you plan to rectify the situation” . Answer: “you can do a return”. Thanked them for their “outstanding customer service”….which is really non-existent Now I understand the reason for low ratings. Never again

I was a little nervous since I have never canned before but this book made it clear and concise and easy. I just canned my second batch of fruit jam and highly recommend this book great for beginners or seasoned canners.

Fantastic canning and preserving book. my mother work out of one of these don't know exactly what year probably 1930's. I bought my first in 1972 and a newer on in 1980. have bought as gifts for daughter and son and this newest purchase was for sister as gift. I not only can but collect jars, and other canning memorabilia Love my double stack 1940' qt. canner. I'm always finding recipes I have not tried in the Ball book but there are many I've committed to memory. Wonderful new Canning and Preserving book ~
We have two Ball books (the older blue ones that are probably now vintage). We love the new one with all it's instructions and wonderful recipes. It will certainly be well used as we have a very large garden and do a ton of canning.
