Not genuine Samsung, but does the job.
First off this ice maker is working and producing ice, just as the original failed component used to. Secondly, this is sold as a genuine Samsung part; it is not. I have compared the two components side by side and it is blindingly obvious that this one is a cheap Chinese replica - make up your own mind by looking at the image supplied with this review. Overall I am 'satisfied' that the item is working but not with the underlying deception.First off this ice maker is working and producing ice, just as the original failed component used to. Secondly, this is sold as a genuine Samsung part; it is not. I have compared the two components side by side and it is blindingly obvious that this one is a cheap Chinese replica - make up your own mind by looking at the image supplied with this review. The heater had gone in my ice maker after 12 years of use. This was an excellent replacement took about 10 minutes to fit and the fridge freezer is now making ice again.
