Great book, meticulously researched.
I used to love Private Eye, particularly during the eighties and nineties. The 60 Yearbook brings back a lot of memories of the true stories, clever spoofs and cartoons that made the magazine such a great read and has introduced me to many more.This book is very well put together, both in detail and quality. It contains many laugh out loud moments, along with some very serious subject matter. Great souvenir
A fascinating review of Private Eye's history, and a very readable synopsis of both "recent history" and my own teen/adult experience of the news. It's fun when you recall seeing a decades-old cartoon in the original mag too. Perhaps a tad pricey but there are some good deals around.
