    An exciting, compelling read with a complex structure

    I love this novel and bought a copy for my mum to keep her entertained during the current pandemic. The book switches between differnent characters and settings but the threads all interlink in an intriguing way and I found ito be a real page-turner.

    Overhyped by the critics

    The book does not live up to the hype it generated by the critics. It is a middling read with long passages of filler which are NOT relevant to the plot (if you can call it a plot). I would recommend you buy this in a charity shop for a couple of pounds. Do NOT buy it at full price.
