About this product
Product Information
Kent has been the Gateway to Britain since prehistoric man first set foot on our soil, and its people have repelled invaders like Julius Ceasar, the Vikings and William I, while welcoming migrants from countries such as France, Poland, Austria and The Netherlands. In turn, men from Kent played a part in invading and conquering such faraway place as Canada, Australia and the USA, and have left their stamp on the world at large. This volume is a tribute to those who have shaped our society, and the world around us; from the long barrow at Trottescliffe and the Medieval Abbey of St Augustine to the Channel Tunnel and The Turner Contemporary, it is plain to see that the landscape around us is in itself a monument to those who went before. AUTHOR: Susan Hibberd was a school librarian for 20 years and has had 14 books published, 4 of which are about local history. She studied at the Dorset Institute of Higher Education before being awarded a BA at Southampton University. She now devotes her time to reading, researching and writing, and lives in Chartham, Kent. 30 b/w illustrations

I had an issue with the clay in my kit being dried out, which is something they couldn't have known about before me opening the box. I sent them a message and they replied quickly and kindly with a resolution, replacing my kit for me. Overall the kit was fantastic value and arrived brand new, in perfect condition bar the clay. Very trustworthy and helpful.
